Wild Things!

Introducing the newest members of the DFH family...we call them...

Wild Things

These guys are so much fun to play with, we are pretty sure you will agree.

Like all Wild Things, you must keep an eye on them as we all know, they love making "mischief of one kind ....and another".

They come in all shapes and colors...you will never know what form they will take each week or how many will wish to come along.  I suppose you can say that will always be a surprise.

I believe I have said all that can be said about them...it's time to introduce you to our first group.

Let the wild rumpus begin!

The Lost Kids

You all might be familiar with our Lost Kids...our adorable gang of rogues who love to play all day, getting into all sorts of mischief

For those who are new, have a seat, I will explain it all for you...

The story goes something like this...

Deep in the woods, in a land built on imagination, lives a group of impish children.

These children never want to grow up.  They wish to spend all day every day playing and every evening as if it were a slumber party.

They prefer to wear costumes to any other sort of boring clothing.  Who needs shirts and trousers when you can wear a fuzzy bear costume all day long?

They climb the highest trees, and swim in the bluest water. To say they are adventurous would be an understatement.  However, they are fiercely loyal and kind to others...after all, when you are truly happy inside, there is no need to be mean to others and make them feel bad.

Lost kids come in many sizes with many different ways of thinking.  Some love to climb, some love to run...while others love to sit on top of a hill and imagine the clouds rolling by are shapes of animals and things.

No matter what the differences, they all have one thing in common...every Lost Kid will always be a friend for life to those who are welcome to share their world.

Amberwing Revamp for 2015!

Can you believe it has been over 1.5 years since we last made an Amberwing?
I can hardly believe it has been that long.

I decided it was time to pull out the pattern and rework it for a newly revamped body style. So ......here it is, our new

2015 Amberwings

Their bodies are like our Fae 18" bodies in design.

They are roughly 16" tall, slender and long limbed. (being hand made sizing will tend to vary a wee bit)

They are super floppy with our distinctive elbow and knee joints to allow for free movement.

Yes, they do indeed have butt cheeks :)

For sizing reference, below...from left to right...here is a pic of an Imp (14"), Amberwing (16") and a Fae (18")

(This group does not yet have their elbow and knee joints sewn in)

And for those of you who have been with us for a while, from left to right, here is a comparison pic of a Jewelwing (14") and a new Amberwing

They are basically every bit of the awesomeness that our Faes are...just a bit shorter

Now for the best part....

This sweet blonde girl has the distinction of being our very first new style Amberwing to be made.

Her name is Madyson Jane

To highlight how special she is, she has a dragonfly tattoo on her left leg

In honor of our new addition, we will be giving Madyson away to a super lucky new mama or papa.  Just follow the instructions on the widget below.
