Camillina

Her hair is finished and "super long" She is a little girl's dream come true. Her hair is just begging to be styled and played with :o)

I put her in her red dress for this image. I still have some outfits to go plus finish her sweater.

This will be the last post I make until Sunday. I will see you then...

Camillina's Girl another day

Half her hair is done. Even with just that much, she is already quite adorable :o)

Here is a shot of the back of her head. I still have to sew the hair onto the rest of the cap but so far you can see how it all looks

This is her with it all neat and out of her face :o)

Two more ensembles done...

I will be sewing more outfits today and completing her hair tonight. I will try to post images of that tomorrow morning.

I am heading out of town overnight then...going to Nashville to see Green Day with my two teens :o) Yay!

When we get back on Saturday I will work on her more. My estimate is that she will be finished...huge wardrobe and all...on Sunday and posted in the shop on Monday morning.

Camillina's Girl

Her face is on and her cap is attached...now is where the real work begins :o)

This little gal is one of my full head of hair multiple style hair dolls. Each strand will be attached using a rug embroidery technique.

I will take photos as I progress but they may not be uploaded until tomorrow morning.

Chontelle's Girl all finished...

She's all done and ready to go home to Australia.

Her sweater brings out the natural auburn glow to her chocolate brown hair :o)
A top side view of that gorgeous color

She is listed in the shop...or will be in a few minutes :o)

Chontelle's Girl

She has her face :o)

You know the end result will be fabulous when they look so cute and perfect without hair and cool clothes...kind of like the real thing :o)

Clothing

For Chontelle....one very cute little pair of red mary jane shoes. My two younger kiddos saw these and squealed :o) A little girl's dream shoe I suppose :o)

Chontelle's first ensemble..

and second ensemble...

This is ensemble number 1 for Monica's gal. The reds are so pretty. I love the jumper fabric :o)

Two Customs Started :o)

I have begun two very special custom orders. Today is where they split off and start taking their unique traits :o)

This first image is of Chontelle's little girl. Her arms are soft and floppy :o) but definitely NOT button jointed just the way you requested. Her clothes will be finished in a little bit here then its her face and hair...and of course her sweater.

This is the first image of Monica's gal. This gal is going to have quite an extensive wardrobe...as well as some absolutely luxurious hair :o) She is off to a wonderful start.

Sierra

I had to show her off. I had this urge to make this gorgeous girl for a while now and I finally got her done :o)

She turned out so well, I had to share :o) She looks every bit how I envisioned her.

I named her Sierra. She will have an orange sweater...I am still working on that :o)

She will be posted in the shop this Friday

Wolfe - Almost finished

His shirt is done. It was tricky but in the end, it worked out well :o)

His sweater is almost finished and his shoes plus the extra Girl's outfit will be done later today. I am hoping to have it all posted and ready for pickup in the shop later.

His pants turned out Wonderful :o)

Here is an image of the "before" My task...to downsize these to fit our doll. I have to admit, I was a bit nervous at first...

Here are the finished pants on our doll :o) I think you will agree...they worked out wonderfully :o)

The shirt will be trickier so I am going to take a break and knit his sweater for a bit.

Wolf Day 4

His hair is finished. I left it a bit long, I thought it looked cute this way, it can be trimmed shorter though.

With his tan skin and his sandy hair, he definitely reminds me of a Californian :o) In fact, he reminds me of someone we used to know...a surfer friend from SoCal :o)

Today, its the clothes. I have an idea as to how to make his clothes work for him.

More later.

Wolf Day 3

His hair is beginning to take shape.

The hair for boys is done slightly different from the girls. I begin with a loopy crochet cap using the base yarn then move on to add the different yarns strand by strand.

here is a close up of phase one of his hair.

At a distance...

Wolf...Day 2

Made some good progress on him today. Here he is in his many phases :o)

BTW, sorry about the picture quality...I can make dolls extremely well, but photographer...I am not :o)

The last two are of him with a flash and natural light...we had a nice rainy day today so the natural lighting was not so wonderful.

Tomorrow...his hair.

His hair will be a mix of yarns and some variation of color. Of course there will be images :o)

Every now and then I come across something awesome and have to share it. This is one of them :o)

Pretty Dreamer is a fellow Etsy shop. Pamela makes some of the most innovative wooden toys I have seen.

We couldn't resist and had to buy the toaster...wow! amazingly well made, and my kiddos love it :o)

I included some other pics here of some of her other items...drop by her shop and check her out for yourselves, you will not be disappointed.

There is a link to her shop in my sidebar :o)

Lelan's "William"

The beginnings of his head. Its all formed and shaped perfectly round. This head is so well made it will never lose its shape.

Now its the covering or "skin" then his arms are attached. I'll include images of course. His arms are all stuffed and ready to go.
